The Story of Geolitix
The idea for Geolitix began to take shape in 2019, driven by the need to automate GPR processes for hundreds of profiles and develop workable models for mineral exploration clients.
After experiencing how efficient GPR processing was on our custom desktop software, the team started to create a cloud-based platform that would be accessible to all practitioners, utilising clustered-computing and machine learning to analyse large near-surface geophysical datasets quickly and accurately.
Geolitix was launched in 2020. The founders continue to develop the software, using it in their own GPR processing projects and constantly discovering improvements and adding functionality for all GPR applications, from civil engineering and geological mapping to archeology and forensics.
Who are the Founders?
Jan Francke
Geophysicist and GPR Expert
Jan is a world-renowned GPR specialist, with 32 years of experience in 108 countries. He is the author of several academic papers and has appeared as a GPR expert in several History Channel shows. He is constantly sharing his expertise in workshops worldwide and in all of our Geolitix tutorials.
